Tameside Cultural Services can support you with delivering Arts Award with your school or group.

Arts Award Discover is an introductory award, aimed at children aged 11 and under (but open to children and young people aged up to 25 years old)

• It gets children and young people involved in and excited about arts and culture; celebrates their creative achievements.
• It gives a national qualification and the opportunity to receive a certificate.

What’s involved?

• Pupils can achieve Arts Award Discover by completing arts activities (Part A), finding out about an artist (Part B), then sharing their artwork and what they have discovered (Part C)
• It takes about 20 guided learning hours to complete (recommended)

What we offer:

• We have a range of printed pupil ‘log books’ and resources on offer; they provide a structure to help teachers deliver Arts Award Discover and act as a sketchbook where pupils can evidence their learning.
