Every town has its hidden gems, its hot spots and those super special places that only the locals know about. For the second half of 2023, InTameside is shining a spotlight on Ashton Under Lyne in order to celebrate its esteemed heritage, culture and creativity.
With plans in the pipeline to regenerate Ashton’s historic market ground, and the new Fridays in the Square events starting in September, this is an important year for the Greater Manchester town.
As the town enjoys the spotlight, we’d love to hear about your favourite spots in Ashton; from flavoursome foodie venues bursting with culinary delights to creative corners that cultivate the cultural DNA of the town, we want residents and visitors alike to share these special spots on social media so we can celebrate them with you. Think; workshops, cafes, street art, classes, gallery space, green spaces, places to dance, places to be still and places to enjoy life!
To join in and bolster the town’s incredible selection of venues, local independent businesses and creative outlets, and makes sure your favourites get some love, simply share your pictures on Instagram or Facebook, tag @InTameside and use the #MyAshton hashtag.
We can’t wait to celebrate Ashton with you.
