Join John Glithero for a talk on Benjamin Goodfellow, the pioneering engineer from Hyde who established the town’s first major engineering company. Discover how Goodfellow’s groundbreaking metallic piston, patented in 1838, revolutionized engineering and industry.

After the talk there will be tea, coffee, and biscuits and the opportunity to talk to the speaker.
