Join Handmade Parade to create your very own magical lantern this October half term, and be part of the Tameside Northern Lights Lantern Parade!
This year’s parade theme is The Hare and the Moon, a joyful, magical procession rooted in Tameside’s landscape, wildlife, and imagination. We'll be making lanterns to help being the parade story to life.
Collect your Lantern on the day of our annual Tameside Northern Lights Lantern Parade, Saturday 14 November 2026, and either join in the parade or line the route - lighting the way for all the beautiful puppets and dancers!
These Lanterns will dry over the course of a few days, and stored safely until the parade. You will be able to collect them from Ashton Old Baths, Ashton Under Lyne, from 3pm on Saturday 14 November and the Lantern Parade will commence at 5pm.
