Tameside Libraries will host its highly anticipated Local Author Day, a celebration of local literary talent. This event is completely free and offers readers, aspiring writers, and the community a chance to meet authors and participate in insightful panel discussions.


Exciting Panels:
1. New Writers – Hear from emerging authors about the journey to getting their first works published and their experiences in the literary world.
2. Research and Reality: Historic vs. Contemporary Crime Fiction – Explore the role of research in crafting compelling crime fiction, from historical crime tales to modern-day urban mysteries.
3. Urban Crime – A discussion with authors who dive into gritty city settings, focusing on crime narratives set in Manchester and other urban landscapes.
4. Folklore, Fantasy, and Local Tales – Discover how folklore and local history inspire writing, blending the mythical with the familiar.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to meet the authors, purchase signed copies of their books, and gain insight into the writing process. This is a must-attend event for any book lover, aspiring writer, or member of the community with a passion for storytelling.
