A celebration of the start of the Christmas festive season following the now tradition in Tameside of having a festival of light with creative work by children and young people ”lighting up the town.”

There is to be no parade this year, but a gathering on the Micklehurst “Green” for children to come together with their (electronic) lanterns.

This event will involve Micklehurst a choir and a section of a local brass band.
