What's on
Christmas in Tameside this year will start in Hyde Market Square on Saturday 16 November with the extravaganza of festive celebration that is our Christmas Lantern Parade, featuring live performances with the grand finale of the Christmas Light Switch On by very special guest, Father Christmas.
The spectacular FREE lantern parade will wind its way along the streets bringing festive cheer while it lights up the route to Hyde Town Hall square for everyone to see.
Tameside Christmas Lantern Parade 2024 is produced by Global Grooves in collaboration with Tameside Council Artistic Partners Cabasa CIC, No Eyed Theatre and supported by the Hyde Accelerator Delivery Group All proudly based in our beautiful borough of Tameside.
Would you and your family like to take part in the Tameside Christmas Lantern Parade this year?
The Lantern Parade is the borough's beautiful annual festive event, and an opportunity for everyone to come together in a celebration of community spirit and light. Join in with an open Lantern making workshop with wonderful local artist Gordon Banks and make your very own light-up Christmas Lantern, and then join in the parade that same evening!
Book your free ticket through the Ticket Source page here.
If you have any questions at all, drop a line to events@tameside.co.uk
If you can no longer attend, please return your ticket so someone else can have your spot.
Alternatively just come along and watch the action in the evening.
