Free family entertainment on Saturday 8 February in Ashton Market Hall​, created and organised by students at Tameside College, with support from Tameside Council and Curated Place​!

Join in the fun from 11am - 4pm, with live music from local bands alongside Storytelling and family-friendly theatre ​from The League of Curiosity, as well as lots of different creative crafts and making activities. 

You can also get to know the market traders through an all new photography exhibition in the Market Gallery: “Stories Behind the Stalls”, featuring photos and stories of market stall holders​ created by Tameside College students. Then go meet the people behind the photos by trying their outstanding food and drink!

Make a day of it as we bring people together at a unique and memorable experience in the heart of Ashton​.

 

Live Music: 

The Gin Rickey's

The Gin Rickey's are a unique party band bringing pop classics and bangers with Jazz and Latin twists from Dua Lipa to Junior Senior, think postmodern jukebox with an energetic spin! They will play four 30 min sets throughout the day.

 

Rumbi Tauro

Rumbi's soulful melodies have graced stages across the UK, leaving an indelible mark at iconic venues and festivals. BBC Introducing listed Rumbi as one of the top 25artists of 2020. The artist has continued to release more music which has seen her get spins from the likes of BBC Radio 1Xtra, interviews with BBC Radio 5& BBC Radio. She will perform 3 30 min sets throughout the day.

 

Live Performance: The League of Curiosity

The League of Curiosity use the power of of storytelling to support creative thinking and wellbeing. They like to encourage celebrate play and help communities bring their imagination to life. The Winter Flower is a 20 minute puppetry performance suitable for 5-10 year old's with a chance to meet the puppets!
