Welcome to the Tameside Creative Network, a space to meet, connect with and learn from your creative peers from across the borough! Any and all creative folk are welcome at the Tameside Creative Network no matter your background, where you are in your career or practice, or if you can only make one meeting in ten! Everyone is welcome.

18:00-18:10 – Arrivals, hellos, everyone helps themselves to drinks and snacks!

18:10 – 18:30 – Sharing Knowledge Time:

Notices and opportunities from across the creative and cultural sector in the region. Hannah from Tameside Council will share all the notices and opportunities she’s gathered, and then the floor is open for anyone to chip in! If you know of an exhibition you think people should go to, a local music gig, a creative workshop, a new film club, please do share!

The Dark Art of Networking in Arts and Culture, a free in-depth creative workshop with Olivia Peers:

Networking can feel like an overwhelming obligation when you would much rather focus on your creative practice but is a very useful tool that when wielded to your advantage can have a profoundly positive impact on you and your work! Join Olivia Peers, Tameside-based Community Arts practitioner and Artistic Director of Born and Bred Dance Theatre, for a collaborative workshop to de-mystify the rather broad concept of networking and carefully unpack what you might want from it, as well as sharing lots of advice and tips!
