Dual displays at Ashton Market Hall now available to view
Ashton’s indoor market gallery is groaning with home-grown talent this Autumn, as two exhibitions open side by side in the popular town centre venue.
The first exhibition is by Stalybridge Photographic Club, who’s members are sharing a selection of their award winning pictures for the gallery. The incredible photographs celebrate the Tameside region with landscapes, nature, wildlife and much more.
Established four decades ago, the photographic club is a friendly and welcoming place where members come from all walks of life, and boast a wide range of photographic skills, abilities and knowledge.
The second exhibition is by local artist, Kevin Williams. Sadly, Kevin lost his wife Hedy to cancer, but was provided with fantastic support from the Macmillan nurses at Tameside Hospital. To try and give something back, Kevin made the decision to take commissions to create bespoke artworks and try to raise as much money for Macmillan Cancer Support as possible so they could continue providing help for patients.
Kevin will be sharing an array of his incredible paintings, in his Paintings For Macmillan exhibition at the Market Gallery. All proceeds from sales will go to Macmillan.
Don't miss out on visiting these two wonderful exhibitions and the Tameside-grown talent on display!
The exhibitions will run until 5th November 2024. Ashton Indoor Market is open 9am-5pm every day except Sundays.
