Community groups and individuals in Hyde are being invited to apply forgrant funding for events, activities, and projects to help improve the vibrancy of the town centre.
The grants are being fully funded from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and offer the chance for Tameside community groups to create and support art and cultural events and activities which can benefit the whole community.
The events can also be based on sports or volunteering activities or exhibitions but must be designed to encourage participation and generate footfall in the town centre. They should also look to improve commercial spaces like offices, retail spaces, hospitality, and industrial spaces to support the towns regeneration and adding vibrancy.
Project proposals from groups and individuals need to:
o Take place in Hyde Town centre,
o Encourage more footfall to the town,
o Be inclusive and open to all and free to attend,
o Increase pride and participation in Hyde.
The funds can be used to cover the costs of speakers, arts/crafts, running workshops, developing a play or a film, or any other reasonable costs for holding an activity or event. Expenses for volunteer time, food and refreshments will not be accepted.
The funding is available until February 2025, to apply please complete the application form below or by emailing anne.heath@tameside.gov.uk.
